TRUENDO | GDPR Compliant Cookie & Privacy Policy Generator free WordPress plugin
Description
TRUENDO | GDPR Compliant Cookie & Privacy Policy Generator free WordPress plugin
What is TRUENDO?
It’s a Privacy Center for your website, where a user can manage their cookie consent settings and read your websites privacy policy.
To set cookies that are not neccessary, such as Google Analytics or the Facebook Pixel, you now need to collect consent from a user, to be GDPR and ePrivacy (Cookie Law) compliant.
How does TRUENDO work?
TRUENDO scans your website and identifies cookies and finds the types of personal data the website collects.
A cookie policy and privacy policy are then automatically generated and are displayed in the Privacy Center.
You add cookie scripts via the TRUENDO plugin, TRUENDO then auto-blocks the cookies until a user gives their consent. This helps to ensure that your website is GDPR complaint.
Built with the help of lawyers and data protection officers, TRUENDO is designed to comply with the GDPR and the cookie law (ePrivacy).
Main Features include:
Cookie Consent Manager: Categorise the cookies into marketing and statistics. Auto-blocks the cookies and allows for easily consent collection.
Auto generated privacy policy: (for websites) built to comply with the GDPR and Cookie (ePrivacy) law.
Self-updating: TRUENDO scans your website on a regular basis to make sure your Privacy Policy is always up-to-date.
Builds Trust: It is designed to be easy-to-understand so that you can show your website visitors what’s being collected and why.
PLEASE NOTE: The plugin makes it easier for you to integrate TRUENDO into your website. You will need a TRUENDO account to integrate the Privacy Center on your website.
Like any other GDPR or cookie tool, TRUENDO cannot guarantee full (100%) compliance for your website.

Cookie Integration
To ensure that your website is ePrivacy (Cookie) compliant you have to give a person the option to opt-in and to opt-out of cookies collecting information about them.
To do this you have to connect your cookies to the Cookie Consent Manager. This can be done in the plugin under the Scripts tab (see the 2nd screenshot below).
We will use Google Analytics as an example below, but you could add a Hotjar, Crazyegg or any another cookie script.
1. Find you Google Analytics script and copy it.
2. Paste your Google Analytics script into the Statistics field.
3. Hit the plus button next to the input field.
4. Now you can add another script or SAVE CHANGES.
Please Note: Only add one script at a time. DO NOT add all your scripts at once.
For cookies that are used for marketing purposes (or personalised ads) such as the Facebook Pixel, make sure to paste them in the Marketing field.
